How to Find Your Shoe Size When Buying Women's Shoes Online

Buying shoes online is easy until the pair arrives and does not fit. Women's shoe sizing in Australia varies between brands, styles and countries, and many size charts leave out Australian sizes altogether. This guide explains how to work out your women's shoe size, what to check before you order, and how to get help choosing the right size the first time.
Why women's shoe sizes vary
A size 11 in one brand is not always a size 11 in another. Length and width differ between brands and between styles, and the conversions between Australian, US, UK and European sizes do not line up neatly. A size chart is a useful starting point, but it is never the whole answer.
Step 1: Measure your foot length
- Measure in the afternoon or evening, when your feet are at their largest.
- Stand on a sheet of paper against a wall and trace around each foot.
- Measure from the back of your heel to the tip of your longest toe.
- Use the longer foot as your guide, because most people have one foot slightly bigger than the other.
Step 2: Check the width
